Adeday MFI was established by the initiation and financing of Women’s Association of Tigray (WAT) officially on 24 June 2014. It was established in accordance with proclamation No. 626/2009 to provide financial services in Tigray region. Adeday MFI will hire and appoint an external auditor in a temporary term for the years 2017-2019 E.C with a certificate from AABE and IFRS institutions. Responsibility

Job Type: External Auditor, Term of Service: Three consecutive years (2017-2019) Experience: Three or more years of experience in auditing financial institutions, A firm with a Bachelor’s degree or higher in education and an audit team, A firm manager with three (3) years of experience in external auditing in a financial institution, A bidder must be able to provide a valid business license renewed in 2017, A vendor/professional certificate and business license; A firm with a Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN), a VAT registration certificate and a copy of the monthly VAT declaration, and that meets the following criteria and other requirements set forth in the relevant laws, is seeking to recruit through an open tender.

Qualifications

Accordingly, an audit firm that meets the following criteria is invited to compete. Licensed to conduct external audits by the Accounting Authority Board of Ethiopia (AABE), The auditor and its members have received training and certification from an institution recognized by the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), The auditor working as a member of the audit firm provides evidence that he/she has no experience in auditing a financial institution, The auditor working as a member of the audit firm/team/is not a saver or debtor in the microfinance institution being audited, Not previously convicted of corruption, fraud, forgery and other illegal acts in any court, The external auditor and his/her partners or members of the audit team and associates must ensure that they do not have any deposit accounts in the institution being audited, Not convicted of tax liability and fraud, Can provide a letter of support from a recognized body for good audit work, Not having been declared bankrupt by a court in Ethiopia in accordance with the National Bank of Ethiopia’s Regulation No. SBB/86/2023, an external auditor is required to submit a completed and signed declaration form and a declaration of good faith in accordance with Annex I and II of the aforementioned Regulation for each appointment or re-appointment. In accordance with the requirements of the National Bank of Ethiopia, it should be clearly stated in the audit contract that if an audit firm fails to comply with the requirements set out in this Regulation due to a change in the owner, directors and staff of the firm, the contract may be terminated and any disciplinary or legal action may be taken against the firm or any member of the accounting team.
